Values-Based Culture Our Values GST's values and our Business Code of Conduct are an integral part of our workplace and provide a guide for our associates' ethical conduct with our customers, our suppliers and with one another. We treat our associates with respect, recognizing their individual strengths and the benefits their diverse ideas bring to our business.
Associates—Our #1 Asset What's our most important asset? It's our people. We don't consider them "employees" but rather, "associates." They are people with whom we join together, partner and collaborate for the common good of our company. Like Toyota, GST is committed to the development of our associates. We provide our associates extensive training resources including but not limited to tuition assistance, external professional development and internal classes on business conduct, leadership management and accountability. GST associates have the opportunity to enroll in authentic courses created by the University of Toyota—including courses on Toyota automotive technology and the Toyota Production System, the heart of Toyota's phenomenal success. In 2006, GST opened a new Dallas-area training facility that provides technical and sales training for our associates and those from the dealerships we support. Work Hard. Play Harder.
We provide a work environment that challenges each of us to excel in all we do. Yet we play hard and embrace the necessity for having fun. Many events are scheduled throughout the year including holiday parties, blood drives, sporting events, Family Movie Day, Recognition Day, community fundraisers and Ride N' Drive Celebrations. The Ride N' Drive Celebration is an opportunity for associates to experience new Toyota and Scion vehicles first-hand, through training and test driving before the vehicles are made available to consumers. It's no secret—we are extremely proud to be a part of this organization. |
